Key highlights
Experiential learning
The program culminates in a strategy capstone that focuses on applying business knowledge gained from studied courses to solve internationalization challenges faced by a New Zealand company. Students will critically analyze the issues and propose appropriate solutions, taking into account environmental contexts and potential risks.
More specifically, it aims to instil in students a strategic mindset through the application of strategic theories and frameworks that emphasize the interconnected nature of factors at the macro (the general environment impacting businesses), meso (the industry environment), and micro level (the firm's internal environment). By understanding how these different levels interrelate, students will develop a practical, holistic and strategic perspective on international business operations.
World-class facilities
Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities at the Business School to support their advanced learning and experiential activities. For example, the BNZ Financial Trading Room provides students with access to real-time financial data and trading simulations, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts in a practical setting.
Entrepreneurship support
The school’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship empowers students to transform their innovative ideas into successful start-up ventures. For students with a business of their own or an entrepreneurial initiative, the center offers workshops, boot camps, and networking events where students can learn from experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts and investors, as well as tap into resources at the comprehensive accelerator program designed to support student startups from ideation to launch.
