Alumni background
Based in Yangon, Myanmar, Juliet Shwe Gaung currently serves as a project manager for Myanmar Private Equity & Venture Capital (MPEVCA), a consortium of institutional investors committed to enhancing the venture capital and private equity landscape in Myanmar. She oversees event coordination, research and development and member engagement.
Before joining MPEVCA, Juliet worked as a journalist, holding positions including correspondent at Deal Street Asia and Senior Reporter at The Myanmar Times. Additionally, she served as the Myanmar Manager for the Hinrich Foundation's Developing Country Export Assistance Program.
Juliet holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Yangon Institute of Economics. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2013, with the support of a Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholarship.
