Alumni background

Megan is the Public Information Officer at the Arizona Department of Transportation. Previously, she served as Content Manager and Community Relations Project Manager for the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), overseeing website and intranet content while enhancing communication workflows to improve team collaboration.

Before that, Megan worked as a communications specialist for the CDC Foundation and ADHS, where she developed and distributed messaging across websites, press releases, social media and digital town halls. Earlier in her career, she built a strong foundation in journalism, working for prominent outlets such as msnbc.com, the Associated Press, the China Daily and the Arizona Republic.

Megan also collaborated with the Hinrich Foundation to produce sourcing publications for their Developing Country Export Assistance Program. She was the Foundation's first American Global Trade Leader Scholar to study journalism in China where she earned a Master of Arts in Global Business Journalism from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
