Michael Akman

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Hinrich Family Office, Mr. Akman participates in the leadership and governance of the Hinrich Foundation.

Mr. Akman is a member of the Foundation’s governing council and participates in the Foundation’s trade education and trade research programs.

Educated and trained as a lawyer, Mr. Akman was admitted to the bar in the New York and practiced in the US and Hong Kong. He has an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center where he graduated cum laude, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from New York University.

Mr. Akman is active in the philanthropy community in Asia, with a special interest in mental health and the arts in Singapore.
