Personal statement
The world is constantly changing, and we may face many uncertainties and instabilities in the future. While we cannot predict the future, we can be the ones who shape it. In any situation, we can find ways to maintain the sustainability of global trade through various media, be it magazines, websites, or emerging platforms. Regardless of the media applied, the guiding principle is to ensure that communication is factual and objective to provide an accurate understanding to the public amidst ever-changing global contexts.
In the future, I would like to continue being a storyteller who effectively communicates the success stories of ‘Made in China’ brands to enhance their global influence and recognition in international markets, and connect them with the global markets by actively promoting international trade and economic cooperation. I believe that studying international journalism at HKBU will benefit me greatly by cultivating my critical thinking skills, capabilities in audience research, and decision-making abilities. It will equip me with the skills and tools to make a positive contribution to trade through fact-based content creation and communication.
I am extremely honored to be awarded the Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholarship. Joining the Hinrich Foundation community will give me the chance to communicate with experienced mentors and advisors who can provide me with valuable guidance, insights, and practical advice on how to develop strategies that will increase the global influence and recognition of Chinese brands. Also, the Hinrich Foundation's in-depth research and analysis of global trade trends and best practices will keep me informed about the changing global landscape and provide insights to shape my content creation and communication strategies.
